MidJourney was used to generate images of tribes that do not wear upper clothing as a tradition. The software generated photos of various tribes wearing clothing.

The poster was created to highlight the colonialistic ideology. It was created by extracting features of Western attire and shapes from original pictures of tribal women.

Ancient Art Form, Modern Approach

Kalam Shastra is an all women community-based brand that makes kalamkari (a traditional Indian art form that is 3000 years old) fabric for lifestyle apparels from Tirupati

They mainly paint botanical themes on fabric, breaking the traditional forms and taking inspiration from nature around them.

Quantum Physics Meets Typography

Coming from an engineering background, I was always attracted to complex science being represented in fun, approachable, and attractive ways. This is an attempt to use typography to visualize ground-breaking scientific concepts.

Typeset in “littlebit” by Emigre foundry.

Reconstruction of nature without reference

Work in Progress

Using speculative design principles, I base this project on the question “what if we don’t have access to how nature looked in the far future and find bones and fossils filled with junk and plastic, how will we reconstruct?”

Runway ML has been used to generate the video of the bird illustration.

Reel to Real: The Interlink of Cinema and Politics in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India, has a unique political landscape where the lines between cinema and politics have been historically blurred. Several film actors have transitioned into politics, often with considerable success.

This data visualization plots the journey of movie stars to politics by using stardom as a launch pad into politics. This remains as a unique and significant aspect of Tamil identity.

Hypothetical Rebranding of 2000-year old town

50,000-100,000 pilgrims visit Tirupati for its Hindu God Venkateswara everyday, making it one of the most important religious sites in India. The symbol first occurred when making the sculpture of deity in 300 CE.

This is my attempt at unifying all the forms into one simple form.
